Swire Seabed is pleased to have appointed Arvid Pettersen as Chief Executive Officer, as from 1st May 2013. Arvid takes over from Hans Martin Gravdal who retired from full time duties on 30th April.
Arvid joins Swire Seabed from Norwegian Underwater Intervention AS (NUI), a Statoil-owned company which concentrates on underwater safety and research, where he was Managing Director. Prior to that, Arvid worked with DOF Subsea, Geoconsult and the Royal Norwegian Navy. During his time at DOF Subsea, Arvid held a number of positions including, Managing Director of DOF Subsea Brazil, an entity which he established, and Group Technical Manager.
Hans Martin will remain on the board of directors of Swire Seabed, ensuring that the company can benefit from his many years of experience within the subsea industry.
